Little bluebird

 I'm busy working on quite a few custom doll orders right now, and since I generally make two dolls for people to choose from, I'll be listing the extra dolls in the shop as I go.  But this little bluebird doll is one that I was inspired to start quite a while back and finally finished up while I was waiting for a new wool order to arrive.  I love her and had a lot of fun making her.  I was tempted to go crazy and totally cover her with the little handstitched feathers, but time and therefore the subsequent cost...  maybe sometime.

Hair: bright blue

Body: ultrasoft blend of cashmere, lambswool and angora

Loves: summer sprinklers, comics and banana cream pie.

Hi - I'm Kelly (or Prudence if you like).  I live in Whitefish, Montana and have a small brick and mortar shop here called Circus Angel, where I sew, draw and sell pretty clothes by independent designers and carry smaller clothing lines, handmade and a bit of vintage.  I'm also a dollmaker - you can find my Waldorf-esque dolls here in my Etsy shop.

Other than sewing and having a multitude of lovely children of whom I do my best to dote on; I  love to travel, cook delicious meals and decadent sweets, read lyrical novels by women authors, eat sushi and drink cocktails and go dancing with my beau, wear clothing in multiple layers and aprons on any occasion,  grow flowers and sit with them in the sunshine, and spend way too much time on Pinterest.  I also have a fun, though sometimes neglected blog!
